Poetry and Creative Writing

Open to students currently in grades 5-7: Session 3

Instructor: Ms. Payne 

This course will be for students who are interested in reading and writing their own poetry and creative writing. Students will be introduced to various poets, styles of poetry, and the literary devices involved. In addition, as students become familiarized with poetic devices and structures, they will create their poetry portfolio.  Students will also explore various types of creative writing, such as  narratives, and fun stories. This will allow students to have a creative outlet, as well as strengthen their writing skills.
